Mineral Makeup

On a day to day basis, I normally do not wear any foundation. So when I was faced with many makeup choices for my wedding day, I felt a little lost. Basically, I bought out the store and raced home to try quite a few of them to find out which ones didn't leave my face cakey or any of the other bad things that can happen with makeup.

After trying a few liquids and a few powders and a few everything-else's, I realized I love this new thing where most makeups that you can purchase at normal drug stores now are "mineral."

Now, keep in mind that on your wedding day, you want your face to be flawless. And not melt off. Or turn your face red. Or any other terrible thing. I was never a fan of powders in the past, as they seemed to give you a cakey residue all of your face. Ugh. But at the same time, we as women never had the greatest choices without spending thousands. We all want to look like Cindy Crawford, but God knows what she spends on makeup.

I'll cut to the chase: I tried Loreal, Revlon, etc etc. All the drug store brands. And THIS was my favorite: http://www.blogger.com/post-create.g?blogID=8274364939514372313 . Cover Girl minerals! It almost seemed to disappear on my face, just blending in neatly so it looked like I had no redness or zits or anything!

I always had a red tone to my face (I am very Irish). I also had a conspicious pimple on the left side of my chin (gahhh, the terror of waking up with that on your wedding day!!).

Anyway, just wanted to make a suggestion to any of you ladies out there who want to look great and get a deal!
